I'm at wits end out here with one of my washers! I have been trying for quite a period of time to get my Kenmore bolt down up and running and it has been fighting me every step of the way.
Please, does someone out there have repair information for this early Sears 1952 machine and answering questions like how to adjust tension on pump idler pulleys and how to adjust tention on the motor. It is unlike all my other Kenmores and has two pumps and two idler pulleys and I can't get them to work properly. They are discharging water during the agitaton and I can't get them to stop no matter what I try. Just today I discovered that the hoses on the machine have been hooked up wrong ever since before I got it three years ago. I just assumed that's the way they should be. If I didn't know better I'd say the machine is jinxed. Seems that is about how things have been running this year. About an hour ago I was ready to toss it on the truck and take it to the dumps! But I cooled down and did some rethinking. ((--::
Thanks for whatever help someone can throw my way.
