Refresh / Reload

Most browsers will accept the F5 key to do a refresh. Also a right click anywhere on the page and then select Refresh does the same thing. The obvious is the refresh button of course. Just mentioning other options to refresh a page within most browsers.

Refresh - Reload

As Bud says above, pressing the F5 key performs Refresh/Reload on the current page/tab in pretty much all browsers.

I use only Firefox.

1 - the Refresh/Reload button, acts on the current-viewed tab.  Position of it on the toolbar may vary depending on how one has one's toolbars configured.

2 - Right-click on the current tab, select Reload Tab to reload/refresh that tab.

3 - Right-click on any tab when multiple tabs are open, select Reload All Tabs to refresh all of them in one whack.

Curious to see if this causes issues here.

Yes it does.  On AVS forum I've been seeing issues with HTTPS and my browser, someone posted this and mentioned someone posted an image that in not HTTPS and the browser is complaining.

I'm using Pale Moon 27.9.3 on Linux Mint.  Curious to see if it triggers and issue with other browsers.

Error message:

Note: Unlike AVS I only see the error on this thread, not the Super page.

The site seems to be moving right along today. It had been real slow the past few days. The only thing I have noticed is after reading a thread and you go back to the forum, it does not show that you have read that particular thread till you go to the next one. Then when you go back it shows as being read.

I read the first two threads in my image, but when I swiped back from this thread they show as unread and if I reopen them they load with the unread messages rather than the entire thread

Yes very few browsers automatically refresh a page when you back-arrow or back swipe. IE actually does do that, although I never use IE for other issues. I remember a while back attempting to code the index pages for an automatic refresh on back-arrow, however I seem to remember it causing more issues that it is worth. A refresh will update the Wash-Rinse-Spin indicators to what they are currently set at.

MattL you are correct that if someone embeds an image in a thread and it's not using https, the browser will complain about the content being mixed between https and http content. The image you embedded is causing this thread to do that. Not a big deal as far as I know, but time will tell.

I just made a post and found that in the composition box, hitting enter/return delivers a double space between lines.  I'm used to hitting it twice, but doing so provided quadruple spacing, so I had to go back and reduce it to a double space.

Then when I posted, the finished product came out with no spaces between paragraphs.  So I'm now quadruple spacing between paragraphs as I compose so it will post as double spaced.

Do I need to refresh?  I don't think I had this problem yesterday.

Oh, that's odd - I am having the same issue that Ralph is reporting with the double-spacing on my PC.  I'll try posting from my phone to see if that does the same thing or not.
