Help Support :

the washer is mine but its its in the parents house as i live with them

but mum being mum she protects anything in her home

I bought the machine from comet.

people assume that because your living at your parents house that it is their machine.

Again I will say I dont know why you want to see suds lock as it puts strain on the components and isnt good for the machine so can you answer that one for me?

I can understand adding extra water as im sure we would all like the modern machines to use more wash water in the main wash.

And Hotpointwf220 I dont expect to be gunned down by you whether you bleep your swearing out or not. WHilst I may not have explained properly why the thread was created its not upto you to start kicking off like that saying it was pointless that I created it etc etc.

Out of order...

Argh the same thing happend some hours back when i was still

Then a friend gets in a mouthfight with my teacher, Then some a**holeish people go scream the hell out on the playground underway to gym, Same concept, but then in real-life.

Why Panthera? It is now in the right place, the site owner has stated that it is not an issue and moved it into the right area.

If you dont like the title of the thread there are many other threads you can read.

I believe that anyone in ApplianceLand could find appliance abuse videos on his or her own without having to take up valuable space here. These are not funny. Take it from one of the two people in the theater who gasped when a sledge hammer was taken to a turquoise Frigidaire washer in My Beautiful Launderette. Yes, people turned to look in our direction. No, we were not embarrassed.

What are you going to post next Funnyman, fatal automobile collisions or are you going to go to a classic automobile collectors' site to post those?

Bravo, Tom

I may be too D-U-M dumb to see the point, and the gods know, UK humor is far different to German humor (we DO have a sense of humor, just, we filed it away somewhere and are still looking for it).

But, really, this is just about as much fun as watching an eight incher, knowing you've got to shovel it in the morning.

tomturbomatic:

Perhaps you need to read 412329 again.

I did not start this thread because I found it funny or entertaining, I posted it to see videos that you had come across that shocked you etc when watching youtube etc.

Not very nice when you refer to me as "funnyman" you clearly should calm down.

Here it is for you again:

Guys this has totally gotten out of hand.. I dont think I explained the real reasons as to why I created the topic in the first place... I apologise for this.

I merely started this post as to see what videos you have come across of people abusing their machines, whilst watching innocent youtube videos... you know videos that make you shocked as to why the owner did it etc.

I would never ever do anything like that to one of my machines as you know I have spent a lot of time and investment on doing up my A3110, which is my daily driver and is certainly not being given any punishment and being well looked after.

It really gets my back up to see people destroy things when they are perfectly working be that vacuum cleaner or washing machine. These items could be useful for someone who perhaps cant afford to buy one new etc.

I got the idea to start the thread after reading the thread Hotpointwf220 created about the LG washer he was thinking of getting his parents to buy.

Well again it dissapointed me to watch his videos after the machine which im sure his parents have worked hard to pay for he just seems to make it work beyond its designed means.

Adding a bit of water isnt going to cause any harm but the abuse you put them through and running it in service mode/over filling with detergent to get a suds lock is just torture. I have added extra water to my previous washer to get better wash results but only a bit to aid the movement of the clothes.

If its your own machine then yes but if its your parents then I dont think its very good that you do this.

Again sorry to anyone that thought this was inappropriate for me to have started this thread, I meant no harm and it hasnt been taken the way it was intended to.

If you ask me....

...and I know you didn't, this is yet another perfect example of why this forum should be strictly limited to: "laundry detergents and additives, old and new, as well as off topic conversations such as other vintage appliances and vintage electronics, etc".

Yes, I love that show its informative and educative.

I feel you learn things from those sort of abuse videos, I know I did when I was 10yrs old and watching secret life of machines.

Perhaps Tom

doesn't need to calm down.

If someone wants to post links to 'shocking' videos, then they really shouldn't be surprised when others react with shock.

When I stumble across something outre and wish to share it, I write an email to those whom I know would enjoy it.

Richard, if you want to shock us old fuddy-duddies, then you have to accept it when we react. You don't get to dictate how we react, isn't that rule number one in the politically correct, self-actualised mumbo-jumbo you're using to defend this silliness?

Why yes, it is.

Look Panthera

This was never meant to offend, I have apologised several times I wish you would stop laying into me.

There are no rules on here for what can and cant be posted and it seems that most of you who have reacted have reacted at why the post was created rather than actual videos.

The videos that I linked to were particular channels of suds lock, other users posted actual videos of destruction... something I also agree is wrong.

Now stop laying into me... why you continue to read a post that you have no interest in reading I dont know.
