If anyone is interested,go to www.productreview.com.au type in washing machines and you will read some interesting reviews from folks here in Oz about various machines.
It seems Fisher and Paykel get a severe roastingas do some L.G.machines and Maytag gets a real blast as well.
I must wonder though are these particular units really faulty as these folks say or have the machines just been abused and not treated properly?
Cheers.
Steve.

I`d Say ....Hhhmmmm!!!

Like we say here it all depends how its used...

I looked at the front loader comments (26)for the Whirlpool...

This was one of the comments...Oohhh not to be a repairman having to change a pump in this house>>>

" The Good: Our baby is now 7 months old so this machine has been flogged severely for 7 months. Mum makes her own nappies so in they go poo and all. And i wash my football team's shirts in it cause i know the front loader is so much gentler on the strip than a top loader. So yeah, totally flogged and it has been perfect, nothing wrong, no call outs, no weird stops mid cycle. Though i never use the 1200 spin so in retrospect would probably go the cheaper option. But hey, i live in brisbane and with our sun its dries quicker on the line than it takes to complete any of the spin cycles.

The bad: In restrospect would have spent a bit and got the model with the timer, helps knowing how long to go with multiple loads.

Overall: Great value, so far. Got it mega cheap on the last day of a home show, $700 i think.

Now whats the betting that team plays with "Stripes on the Shirts"...LOL
