im super curious how the tr agitator performs in the tc washer along with the tc agitator in the tr washer i want to see a video on this please and thank you

I can’t speak for using the TR agitator in the TC machine, but I have experimented with other agitators in the TR machine.

The first agitator I looked at was the TC agitator, however, since the TR series has such long agitation strokes and the load “blooms” (comes up in the center and goes down at the perimeter) I feared that items would get trapped under the agitator blades so I tried the slightly shorter variant with fixed vanes instead. The agitation was very aggressive but since the vanes stick out past the base of the agitator, things were getting stuck on them and rollover was halted. Lastly, I gave the older fixed vane agitator a shot and I have to say that I am very impressed with the wash action. As long as the machine is not completely full (maybe 80% full) it has some pretty nice blooming/rollover action. I will try and get a video of that soon and post it. It has become one of my daily driver machines!

One thing I did notice is that the tub cover on the TR series has a vent/flood port in the back right. Changing the agitator did cause some water to splash out while agitating on larger loads. The fix was to swap the tub cover for the TC tub cover which doesn’t have this port. I assume it doesn’t have this port since the TC machine does a spin drain.

First pic shows the TR agitator and the TC agitator.
Second pic show the TR agitator and the fixed vane agitator.
Third pics shows the TR agitator and the older fixed vane agitator.

I have seen one video on YouTube of a Speed Queen classic with a TR agitator on. It looked like it wasn't as good so there's a reason why SQ doesn't stick with the newer agitators on the older models.

My parents unfortunately have the TR. they weren’t aware it wasn’t the classic speed queen they bought it. Anyway, the agitator on the TR series is bolted to the tub and the tub spins back and fourth. Barley any kind of turnover. Poor wash results. At work, we have several classic Commercial SQ and those do as good as direct drive does or really anything that just agitates strongly. Look at videos on YouTube Dominic of the comparison. It’s night and day.

absolutely

amen to that tr speed queens are for small and light loads struggles with big heavy loads what a shame i on the other hand the 2017 and older sq's are amazing.
