Hi guys,
I recently had the repairman back to the G.E. fridge again for another service problem and we were speaking about Kleeenmaid, Peter advised me that in the near future they will most likely go out of business or will substantially downsize to a very small operation(highly likely due to them upping their prices on their goods dramatically.),he also mentioned that General Electric will soon stop being their supplier of fridges and they will have to find another brand to sell exclusively.
Well it seems Peter is spot on, I looked at Kleenmaid's website earlier on tonight and lo and behold the store I bought mine from has gone and there are very few stores left in metropolitan Sydney in fact in the entire state of N.S.W there are only 8 stores,7 in all of Queensland,4 in all of W.A.,2 only in S.A.,5 in Victoria and 1 only in the A.C.T., and none at all in N.T. or Tasmania.
Also he was correct about the fridges, all it says is wait to see our new exciting range of fridges no mention at all of G.E.,a victim of the global economic crisis?,or perhaps a victim of greed in trying to sell highly priced goods which in the overall scheme of things may not be the super quality they spruik.
Any thoughts on this company or G.E. and indeed who they would source fridges from in the future as they had Amana in the past and now G.E. are lost to them.
