This is what she looked like in the used appliance store. Not too bad for it's age and all..

I paid $100.00 for it

Installed in our kitchen..

One Friday night we put the doors back together. Used new insulation, a new grounded cord, and new gaskets. Oh... And new paint, with a new colour... The next week we brought it in the house and have been using it ever since. (about 1 month) We LOVE it!!

Refrigerator section. Sort of packed also... <:

But we both think it is worth it, because the styling of this fridge is so unique! One learns to pack smartly, with no shelves in the doors. And make good use of the bins at the bottom.

Lower compartment

Has the freezer control located down here. One opens the kick panel at the bottom to gain access to the control. The dial goes up to 9, and we have it set on 4.

This freezer gets much colder than my WCI Kelvinator ever did!

The ice tray shelves have refrigeration coils under them. This is a VERY well built refrigerator! Think "TANK"!

Very nice!

It's the highly desirable separate freezer model also.

I have a GE fridge from the same or almost the same year. But it's a single door, with one of those tiny freezers that would be hard-pressed to fit in a 1/2 gallon container of ice cream, lol. Still, it has a meat bin right under the freezer, which can be a nice option if you like keeping your meat, or the meat of a good friend, as fresh as possible.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

The fridge was repainted in automotive grade paint, by a professional automobile painter who is a very good friend of mine. They paint high dollar import cars, and do restorations of classic cars. My friend Tim, had the fridge for almost a year before he got to it. It's ok because he is worth waiting for. He is very picky about what he sends out the door, be is a car, or one of my washers. <:

I have pixs of the original owners manual also. I will post the owners manual tomorrow night.

Good night all! <:

Breathtaking! My Philco is drooling for that paint job. I know what you mean by "tank", it ain't like you can just slide it out to clean behind it.
