Blender ice cream---That thing sounded like a brush hog or hammer mill.

Greg - I love your new avatar. A giant wad of knots. How long did you work on that? It's lovely. LOL!

Blender ice cream-one of the toughest tests for a blender- a high power machine like the Vita Mix or Blendtec are the best ones for this purpose.Becuase the mixture is thick and frozen-puts the max load on the motor-and makes the most noise-but the ice cream made this way is so fresh! And don't be tempted to run the blender longer---if you do the blade friction will HEAT the mixture instead of cooling it.So you will end up with a milkshake or hot drink if you ran it for several min.The max loading of this application is why you can't use a low hp blender for ice cream-if you do--the motor will get the smoke let out of it and won't run again!

Wow, what fun!  Enjoy the extra 'white noise' that will now be emitting from your laundry room.

Well shoot, Kevin...

If you didn't want it... Lol!

Enjoy it, Nate. I rescued this one from the crusher literally seconds away from oblivion as a Kia a few years ago. My first Frigidaire set. Shot video of it and had fun then eventually made a trip down to Kevin's and gave them to him as a Wash In warming gift. I'm happy that one of my orphans found a great loving home.

Here's the original thread where I introduced her to the family. The link to the video is in the thread. This one was also the star of a few suds cake pics during that Wash In as well...

Thank you so much, Andy!!

I do love it!! It's a handsome one, and I tore through six loads last night.  It handles three full queen-sized sheet sets with ease, so the Philco can suck it with its seven-sheet count.  :-)  (However, the dryer tops out at one and a half sets, so there was some load division.)

It's impossible to have a Frigidaire going and not smile.

CONGRATULATIONS...

roto204/nate!!!
that frigidaire "thumper" is beautiful!!!
what a kind & generous housewarming gift kevin!!! that was super sweet of you!!!
it looks like you guys had an awesome time watching the frigidaire "thumping" away and also, by the sounds & looks of it, a great feast with that delicious looking food!!!

What A nice boy that Kevin is!

And you west coast guys are so lucky to do laundry outdoors at any time of year including November?? Brrr!

Lovely 1-18 there  and I agree nice cones !!

Glad to see another one rescued. These were so common a few years back its amazing how much they've slunk into oblivion in a few years !!

Nice Friend!

I wish my Friends would bring me major appliances!!!
All I ever get is wine, chocolates and oh, a blender once.
Sheesh......my Friends SUCK!!!!!

"Honey I can't tell you how happy I am to share this special day with you, and all of these wonderful things and.....oh look!-better people"-(Hop, hop, hop's away).

After living in NW AZ for a few years, I appreciate an indoor Laundry area MUCH more than an outside one. Nothing like firing up the dryer and having long slithering things with rattles popping out of the housing. Or the nice black spiders with the pretty red hourglass that love to nest next to the access panels.

Lots of creepy crawly things I found inside my washers up there.

I do like the fact that nothing rusts there though.
