Help Support :

I find I can't paste into the image box

Hi Matt, by chance do you have Java-script turned off? If so it will revert back to the old system. Also older browsers wont support the new upload box and they as well will revert to the old picture posting system.[this post was last edited: 5/21/2014-08:29]

Coming soon to my kitchen:

Edit:
One picture is a Chambers model B I just picked up, the other is my cat. The stove will be in my kitchen, my cat may keep me company in my kitchen, I will not be cooking my cat! :)

It's not letting me upload anything :( I'm on the mobile site on an android phone.

I was worried about android as I don't have anything to test those phones with. What happens Dustin, do you see the upload box and it just doesn't go? Also which Android browser are you using.

Can anyone else with an Android phone give this a try?

I've noticed that when I open the thread and go to the bottom of it immediately with the Ipad, it shows for a few seconds the new uploading window, but then it disappear... And just have the obscured choose file button I cannot use...
This is a tease or what? This damn thing is even teasing me!
Anyway....I am thinking to smash the ipad with my car once I got a real normal tablet, I wanna see it in pieces and burn it....it should not take much...it was a gift, now I understand why my friend gave it to me for free.... No more an apple product in my life! NEVER!

I have a Windows Phone 8 and I cannot upload pictures in Internet Explorer or in UC Browser. In UC browser it will let me browse for pictures but they never show up in the box. In IE, it doesn't do anything.

OK what I did for the Mobile site users, except for the iPhone since I know it's working properly there, is I added the old upload button back temporarily until I get all mobile devices working properly. For Droid and Windows phone users you should see two different ways to upload photos...

As an FYI, I've changed the full size option, instead of a link, there is now a check-box called View Full Size on the gray bar above the pictures. If you check that box all images will be show in full size right in the thread instead of taking you to a new tab or window. I think this works much better!

Let me know if you guys have any bug/tech issues with that, the difference is much more noticeable on a desktop computer as opposed to mobile phones.

Love the "full-size" box!

It's a ...

I love this feature. I love looking at everyone's photos.

Currently, I can add photos, but when editing, am I right in this - one cannot delete one or two select photos with editing...but just delete the bunch and re-add whatever fewer one wants. Normally, no one is going to subtract, but rather add - but if a photo of something is added inadvertently (as I did, oh well), then to remove that one photo with edit, I have to delete the uploaded set and re-add all but the incorrectly added one, to get the desired photo set posted. I'm using Mac OS-X/Safari - 10.8.5 /version 6.0.5(8536.30.1) just for techie-talk sake. :-) Thank you!

I see you live in NJ.  What place in NJ lets you keep animals like this?  Is that a goat?   It lets you handle it like this...is it a pet?   Never in my life, did I think I would find a goat interesting.

Hey Tom -good eye! Yes, that's my hometown neighborhood in Michigan and it is, in fact, a Sears catalog home. You will be dismayed to learn that the new owners, after my neighbor's dad passed away, updated the whole house. It HAD potential to be improved, and yet keep the original charm. I did forget the name of the model, but if you saw it in an old Sears catalog, then that's the one. Sears used to be a fantastic company Their old catalogs are a galaxy away in content and so interesting compared the schlock sold today.

Also, kind of co-incidental...the family who lived there had two boys and three girls, all of whom I still keep in touch with, except the one older son who was my age -he died in a freeky canoe accident on the Au Sable river, 34 years ago. He taught me alot about electronics, radio and tv...even if it was rudimentary stuff. His name? Tom.

That house had a double lot, to the right , but now they allowed them to sell the lot and cram a generic house next to the Crescent. You know the expression, "You can't go home again." ? I can't go home and look at that neighborhood. Our old house is up for rent as they couldn't sell it. Lot of good memories - thanks again and hope you don't mind the long-winded reply.

W98/FF2, can no longer see ANYthing unless I turn on j-script AND check 'full size'. Everyone else have to click photos to see them at all? If it's just me, nevermind, I know I'm a technosaur.

@arbilab

I'll fire up my "technological dinosaur" (i.e. My Windows 98 box) and see what effect is produced with FF3.6.3 with Java On/Off, as well as IE6.

May roll back to the old FF, provided I can get the darned thing to connect to my server (apparently the directory I'm trying to open "doesn't exist," when it does and worked before :/ )

I imagine the Java (or JavaSludge for those of us who despise it), or lack thereof in your case would cause the issue, or maybe the older browser.

Will report back in the morning with some suggestion.

Turning j-script on enables many things but not everything. Example, wunderground (weather) just did a "grade" (I wouldn't call it UPgrade as I lost utility) that prevents me from seeing radar periodically updated. It worked last month.

Most sites like billpay/data entry require j-s and many still work but many have denied service to W98 altogether as a 'security risk'. Cowflop! W98 is about as immune to intrusion today as possible. Who the hell writes hacks for W98, one half of one percent of the userbase?

Virus on Windows 98

"This program requires Windows NT5.1 or better in order to run. Please contact your system administrator." LOL

After 16yrs of diligence I got complacent and clicked on a clever email virus ('funeral'). Result? "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down".

Since it was new, all the antivirus in the world wouldn't have caught it. Obviously, because it passed the email client AV. But plain old W98 killed it cold.
