Just finished using this detergent made for Sainsbury's and found it to be generally good for cleaning. Personally couldn't tell the difference between the more expensive brands. Has anyone else tried it and found it good?

I've tried it, it performs like any other store branded detergent, I think next on my list to try is the concentrated powder detergent from Sainsbury's  It's got five enzymes (protease, mannanase, amylase, cellulase, lipase)

What's wrong with these people: how am I supposed to measure 97 ml? Not 100, not 90, it has to be 97!
The manufacturer is McBride, isn't it? Where can I find the ingredients declaration? There's nothing on Sainsbury's site.

I'm also interested in this compact powder in bottle. It's quite good product with a lot of bleach (15-30%), no zeolites and dosage only 50 ml per wash.

Sainsbury's....

Is my favourite supermarket.

I haven't used their Bio Powder, but have used the "colour" version (in the purple box of course). I like it.

MrAlex - I have the concentrated powder in a bottle, I have yet to use it, but the cool thing (besides 5 enzymes) is the bottle is an "auto dose" bottle, you just tip it upside down and dispenses a dose (20ml).

Also FYI - Sainsbury's own brand bio laundry gel is a Which best buy in the liquids category (2nd best, only beaten by Persil and beating Ariel).

Hi Alex,

Hit and miss to be honest. The laundry detergents are excellent and some of the spray cleaners are good but I found the stuff like toilet cleaner and washing up liquid wasn't very good. But the laundry stuff is great, certainly the best eco alternative detergent I've used.

The perfume in Sainsbury's Bio powder reminds me of the old Ariel Ultra of the 90s. No point in buying the over expensive Ariel anymore when this one seems to clean just as good.

Thank you, Rolls_rapide!

Any good soul to give me the barcode, please! I can't find side picture of the box. I'm really interested to see the composition of the bio powder and the concentrated powder in a bottle (especially the second one).
I've always found McBrides products terrible and I want to see if they keep the trend.

The Sainsbugs regular powder is indeed McBride, but (despite the very reasonable assumption) I don't think this concentrated powder is. It states it is from the Netherlands..... if Louis sees this thread he may have an idea which factory puts it out?

From the Senzora Webpage :

"Clean Wash does what its name says and can be seen as our low-cost offering: the customer gets a relatively good product for a low price."

I almost spilled my coffee reading this, that`s what I call credibility par excellance. No other detergent manufacturer that I know of has the balls to tell you you get what you pay for in such likeable words. A relatively good product LOL.

Good work Louis and Dixan!

I've never heard of Senzora or Tricel - what's it's market position - is it good stuff?

I tried this powder a few years ago and wasn't blown away by it but can't remember why. From memory the dosing method stopped working as the bottle emptied and it was quite a foamy rinser. I seem to remember it had a very good light fragrance though.

It certainly looks very competitive in terms of the ingredients.

OK, I'm that close of buying a box of Sainsbury's Bio powder (20 washes) + Sainsbury's 2 in 1 Powder Lavender and Jasmine (10 washes) + Tesco Colour Powder (10 washes) from britsuperstore. I'm going to spend £17.72 for shipping to Bulgaria. I don't know how to measure 97 ml, but I need to have them so badly. Sometimes I think I'm crazy. :)

"How to measure 97 ml"

Procter & Gamble's blue scoops are very awkward to use, I find. The markings are all but invisible, and the strengthening struts on the inside bottom, hold onto powder which flings itself into the fabric conditioner compartment.

Two steps might be easier if your scoops have decent clear graduations.

Measure 50ml and dose, then measure mid-way between 45ml and 50ml, and dose.
