Reading the thread about "kitchen gadgets you shouldn't buy" got me to wondering what small appliances everyone keeps on their counters on a permanent basis?  If I had more counter space I would probably have more but here is what I have.

1.  Cuisinart toaster oven

2.  Cuisinart rechargeable salt & pepper shakers

3.  Iced Tea maker

4.  Kitchen-Aid toaster

5.  Electric Can Opener

6.  Kitchen-Aid mixer

7.  FoodSaver bag sealer

8.  Keurig coffee brewer

9.  Braun coffee mill

10.  Cuisinart Food Processor

Here is what we have

1) Kitchenaid pro series mixer
2) Hamilton Beach toaster
3) Ice tea maker
4) Water purifier dispenser (the inverted jug type)

Not a whole lot.

In Ogden (turquoise unless otherwise noted... LOL):

Sunbeam Model 11 Mixmaster

Montgomery Ward 6-speed blender

Maid of Honor electric can opener

Coronet toaster

Dominion electric kettle (chrome & black)

Viking 8 cup automatic perk (chrome & black)

GE 2-slice Toast-R-Oven (the kind where the door pops up and the tray pops out - chrome & black)

Robot Coupe food processor (white)

In Montreal:

GE food processor / blender

Proctor-Silex electric kettle (modern - blah...)

Dormeyer 8 cup automatic perk (chrome & black)

Toastess two-slice 'cathedral-style' toaster

There's lots less counter in town to clutter up.... LOL

And, we're off!

1. Westinghouse toaster
2. Mixmaster chrome model 12
3. Mixmaster white model 11
4. Percolator (these rotate, all chrome or stainless)
5. Amana RR (does this count as a small?)

Sunbeam Purist

Sunbeam Sandalwood MM

Sunbeam Blender

Sunbeam Le Chef Food processor

Sunbeam Percolator

Kitchenaid K-45

I use a Kitchenaid Java coffee maker on many days as its faster than the percolator but I like the perked coffee flavor better.

Kelly

I have a sunbeam toaster, frying pan, egg cooker, waffle iron and corn popper in the pantry as well as couple more mixers that come out accasionally.

Krups 4-cup coffeemaker
Black & Decker toaster-oven (gotta be over 15 years old)
KitchenAid 7-cup food processor
DeLonghi 14-cup coffeemaker with Medelco replacement carafe
Sharp Carousel microwave oven
Max Burton portable induction cooktop
Sunpentown Mr. Induction portable induction cooktop

In my 85 year-old kitchen which still retains its original configuration, counter space is seriously lacking so I have very few things out.

KitchenAid stand mixer

KitchenAid toaster

Cuisinart auto drip coffee maker

Panasonic microwave

KitchenAid 4C mixer
Sunbeam Le Chef Food Processor
Sunbeam Oskar mini food processor
Rival 3quart crock pot (1974 vintage, original owner)
Waring Blender (1973)
4.5 quart round Rival Crock Pot
4.5 quart ovel Rival Crock pot
Breville Smart Oven
Panasonic Microwave (early 1990s)
Presto percolator

These are alll placed throughout the kitchen

Here is mine:

I have a BUNN A10A coffee maker
My 14 cup beast of a cuisinart food processor
Cuisinart Coffee Grinder
Vitamix
Gaggio Super Automatic espresso machine (i'm kind of about my coffee)
Dualit Toaster

And assorted other things like my Meauring spoon collection and a couple of crocks one for wooden spoons and the other for spatulas.

For me it is:

a MixMaster model 12(currently chrome but I rotate all color variations)

aProctor-Silex can opener(unfortunetly new plastique crap)

a Kenmore Elite 2 cu ft microwave oven(still mis the od JCPenney)

a Blender(currently a Lady Kenmore 600, but I rotate it with a Oster classic VII and a 50th anniversary gold plate Oster)

a coffee percolator(currently a Corning Electromatic, but it too rotates)

In my kitchen I have: a very small dustbin on the counter, a GE food processor,(2nd. I have, the previous lasted 14 years), a Kenwood induction plate (for 1 pot)a Fagor drip coffee maker, a Fagor coffee grinder, a T-Fal (Seb, french)toaster, a Seb electric Fryer, 2 more cheap coffee makers, a Samsung Microwave, a Philips percolator, a Sony radio-discplayer, and a Siemens electric fan Heater (for buck up in cold mornings). And some other things on the upper racks which I use sparingly. And one thing which is actually over the counter, a Whirpool dishwasher for 8 services. This is an over-the-counter model. Gus

I feel as if I should go and get more things out of the cupboard reading this.

In view:

- Sunbeam Mixmaster MXG in white with mixing light/black stand with turntable lever on the side

- Russell Hobbs brushed stainless steel kettle.

- Sharp Carosel sensor cook microwave.

Also on the bench, but in their own lit 'breakfast cupboard'...

- Sunbeam Toastermatic 2 (TA4100) - Released by Sunbeam Australia in 2001 and sold for about 3 years. Bread slots are across the toaster rather than 'front to rear'. I have a new in box spare too.

- Aldi Expressi coffee maker.

100 year old house...

... and little counter space here. Appliances are spread throughout the kitchen.

On counter:

Dualit 2-slice toaster
GE 8-cup coffee percolator

On hoosier counter:

Russell Hobbs traditional electric kettle

On rolling (and substantial for use) cart:

Hobart KitchenAid K5SS mixer
Cuisinart CFP-9 food processor
(Hobart KitchenAid K45SS and GE portable mixer on shelves underneath)

On microwave stand:

JCPenney microwave

Other appliances (my parents' avocado-colored CrockPot, KitchenAid KFP-700 food processor, Waring blender, rice cooker, and Sunbeam bread machine) are stored on metal shelving in the adjacent mudroom.

My kitchen used to be strewn with applicances but since I had it rebuilt, I have gone very minimal:

Kenwood Chef
Bosch Kettle
Bosch Toaster
Braun Coffee Maker

That's it

Inside the cupboards is a different story!

OOOH

Paul which Bosch toaster and Kettle you got? Im rather fond of the basic Private collection stuff in the red blue and black colour ways.

Here I have,

Bosch Tassimo - shoot me down but it works for me and my needs.

RH Harvest Kettle - BNIB find late 80's.

Kenwood electric can opener,

el Cheapo cookworks chrome toaster cos Im not that daring when it comes to plugging in the BNNB Proctor Silex 50's toaster although im assured it will be ok. LOL

Panasonic COmbi Microwave. Thats it apart from what I have on the shelving LOL.

Now that is an interesting shelf! Not only a vintage Kenwood Chef, but also some vintage Philips stuff. IIRC the standmixer is quite noisy. The handmixer with the open handle was sold here as a Ruton IIRC, not as a Philips. The Philips handmixers overhere all had a closed handle. At least as far as I remember.

And then there is that Krups mixer in the fantastic orange/yellow color. I love that color! They had more appliances in that color, loved them all!

Louis,

Yes you spotted the Krups Mix 3000 and the Krups yoghurt maker. I love those orange tones - have complemented them with the brown Krups scales.

The half handled mixer is actually a Hoover mixer although it seems of Philips decent. Interesting that Philips didnt have half handled designs. No idea why Hoover would of wanted a half handle and why Philips were keen to produce it. Perhaps to make it lok different to the philips mixers incidentally none of which ive ever seen.

To be precise, Philips produced the half handled design for it's other brands. Philips had several brands like Ruton, Erres (originally R.S. Stokvis, perhaps you know of the Stokvis twintubs). The half handled design was sold under the other labels, just not under the Philips name itself. Perhaps they kept the whole handled design exclusively for the Philips label.

Here is a picture of a Philips mixer with a stand (?) and bowl.

In the cabinets below is less frequently used things:

Proctor Silex Toaster

None

This kitchen doesn't have much counter space. My blender, toaster and Nesco roaster-slow cooker are sitting on a table in the garage at this time. My HB mixer is in a box somewhere, just can't locate it. Trying to cook much in this place is frustrating, so I just don't bother.

I don't have a lot of counter space, so most of my smalls are on top of the refrigerator.

KitchenAid stand mixer
Sunbeam MixMaster
Oster Blender
Sunbeam Percolator
Kenmore Hand Mixer

Considering the hundreds I have they are mostly down in the basement and only things we actually use fairly regularly are on the countertop or elsewhere in the kitchen. My Bamix stick blender, the Panasonic FlashExpress toaster oven, HB Brewstation, Braun coffee mill and my HB slow cooker. Not even a blender. However I have that 5 shelf wire rack housing less used appliances. The Nesco 6 qt, Tfal electronic rice cooker, Breville Panini grill, Electromatic skillet, Webalco electric fry pan, no-name electronic pressure cooker, Bosch Universal mixer and cookbooks. There's an Oster blender in a bottom cabinet, a KA handmixer in my "baking stuff" drawer and a vintage egg cooker in an upper cabinet along with the vintage GE electric kettle. Some are so seldom used that they'll be heading for the basement, like the kettle, the egg cooker and the electric frying pans. No electric can-openers in the kitchen either, I have at least 10 vintage ones but can't afford the space so it's a trusty Swing-Away in the drawer
