Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Louis,

Yes you spotted the Krups Mix 3000 and the Krups yoghurt maker. I love those orange tones - have complemented them with the brown Krups scales.

The half handled mixer is actually a Hoover mixer although it seems of Philips decent. Interesting that Philips didnt have half handled designs. No idea why Hoover would of wanted a half handle and why Philips were keen to produce it. Perhaps to make it lok different to the philips mixers incidentally none of which ive ever seen.

To be precise, Philips produced the half handled design for it's other brands. Philips had several brands like Ruton, Erres (originally R.S. Stokvis, perhaps you know of the Stokvis twintubs). The half handled design was sold under the other labels, just not under the Philips name itself. Perhaps they kept the whole handled design exclusively for the Philips label.

Here is a picture of a Philips mixer with a stand (?) and bowl.

This kitchen doesn't have much counter space. My blender, toaster and Nesco roaster-slow cooker are sitting on a table in the garage at this time. My HB mixer is in a box somewhere, just can't locate it. Trying to cook much in this place is frustrating, so I just don't bother.

I don't have a lot of counter space, so most of my smalls are on top of the refrigerator.

KitchenAid stand mixer
Sunbeam MixMaster
Oster Blender
Sunbeam Percolator
Kenmore Hand Mixer

Considering the hundreds I have they are mostly down in the basement and only things we actually use fairly regularly are on the countertop or elsewhere in the kitchen. My Bamix stick blender, the Panasonic FlashExpress toaster oven, HB Brewstation, Braun coffee mill and my HB slow cooker. Not even a blender. However I have that 5 shelf wire rack housing less used appliances. The Nesco 6 qt, Tfal electronic rice cooker, Breville Panini grill, Electromatic skillet, Webalco electric fry pan, no-name electronic pressure cooker, Bosch Universal mixer and cookbooks. There's an Oster blender in a bottom cabinet, a KA handmixer in my "baking stuff" drawer and a vintage egg cooker in an upper cabinet along with the vintage GE electric kettle. Some are so seldom used that they'll be heading for the basement, like the kettle, the egg cooker and the electric frying pans. No electric can-openers in the kitchen either, I have at least 10 vintage ones but can't afford the space so it's a trusty Swing-Away in the drawer

let's see...

Delonghi Espresso machine...never used, just for looks

Simac Gelato maker ($25) used sometimes, impressive but compressor is a little noisy

Jenn-Air Attrezi blender...(less than $20 after manuf rebate @ Tuesday Morning) seldom used but nice

Jenn-Air Attrezi stand mixer (less than $40 @ Tues Morn) elegant design but only used when I try one of Kevin's recipes...sometimes I put out the Kitchen-Aid to look more professional but it's rather common (I bought this mixer, the model with the non-tilting head, many years ago at a warehouse sale when I was a department store buyer...I sold the Housewares buyer a desk calculator from my area for $2.50 and she sold me the Kitchen-Aid for the same amount...we could have been fired for doing that, naughty naughty!)

Delonghi toaster oven with interior light, 14 years old and just great

Sunbeam Hot Shot for tea...why do I keep that out there?

Wolfgang Puck electric pressure cooker, the one I got for free from Overstock when I complained that they sent me red instead of white and it was too difficult to return, I use this all the time

Wolfgang Puck Versa-Cooker, I use this quite a bit since I like off-the-stove cooking

Capresso Coffee Maker, no deal here, paid full price at Macy's, used every day for 10 years and still works perfectly

and last, Waring electric cork screw, used so much that I wore the first one out...a wino's best friend, especially when you get to bottle #4 or 5

The only appliances ON

my counter at the moment are:

My 12 cup KitchenAid processor, and my Amana Radarange.

I have almost enough small appliances, but these are the only two I've used recently.

Like others, my counterspace is at a premium, so I don't keep much out. Here is what I leave on the counter:

Kitchen Aid blender
Hamilton Beech toaster
A perculator (these rotate - currently a WestBend Flav-O-Matic)

That's it!

Hi Rob

I have the Bosch Private Collection toaster and kettle in white and silver/grey. I got the toaster for a bargain price of £9 in House of Frazer and the kettle from Amazon. I had brushed stainless steel ones for years but they get so grubby and greasy and it is such a pain to clean them

Old thread but fun

I have currently:

Hamilton Beach 2 slice toaster
Rival drip coffee maker
Rival can opener
Sunbeam Mixmaster 1-7A stand mixer in harvest gold
KitchenAid Ultra Power Blender in white
Sometimes GE waffle maker

Now when I have my own kitchen I plan to have:
KitchenAid Ultra Power blender in stainless/black
Kenmore Elite 4 slice toaster
GE deep fryer
Vollrath commercial food warmer
Some kind of Crock Pot
Braun Aromaster coffee maker
GE Spacemaker under cabinet CD player
