Just had one of the fins on my 2016 Speed Queen top loader AWN432SP113TW04 washer break off. It was a good size piece right at the bottom.
I am always careful to wash smaller loads. In fact when I usually wash jeans I only do three at a time with nothing else.
On this load is was just ONE pair and four pocket t-shirts along with underwear and socks. I filled the tub too.
I was surprised to find the broken fin piece at the bottom of the tub.
I have located the replacement agitator directly on the Speed Queen parts site.
Hubby is pretty confident he can swap out the old part for the new as he does all of our appliance/house/auto repairs.
But he is wondering if there is something he should know about removing the old part and if we need to buy anything else in addition to the new agitator (part #36507). It's a Flex Fin agitator.
This is the first time anything has broken on this machine and I have been more than happy with it. It replaced a 1960's Turquoise blue MayTag machine that finally gave out after 50 years.
We also have an old Kitchen Aid dishwasher from the 60's that we use every week and have repaired ourselves. We like our old appliances.
Any help or advice or advice would be appreciated
