It is Sally Struthers. I guess this was before All in the Family.
This SQ dryer was so popular in New Orleans. Every home from my childhood seemed to have one.
I guess there was a special at one time from the gas company.
I remember the burner door on top of the dryer. I loved to open it and watch the flame.

2 things:
If you look closely at what she throws into the dryer, it already looks dry, not dripping like when she entered the tent.
If our neighbor's experience with a Speed Queen dryer is anything to go on, it needed more servicing than our GE.
