Well ummm no. The top is not porcelian on steel, more an acrylic enamel. There is not two belts but one and the 210 stroke is not the longest in the industry...the GE Hydrowave 360 arc is. And the lint filter is not that big, it fits under the washbasket and looks like a hat. This guy has no clue.

Maybe not. There's another brand that has an arc that may exceed 360°.

I remember one of sales pitch from the 70's for the solid tub stainless steel tub Speed Queen regarding permanent press. It was promised that the solid tub left permanent garmets without wrinkles. Another claim was that fabric softeners were required because the stainless tub makes the clothes softer.

I picked up 2 errors..1) The stainless steel basket's finish gets smoother with every load, not the clothes. 2) The 20lb. rating is not how much the tub contents weigh, but the weight of the wet clothes. Certainly a Super capacity machine with a load of clothes and water would weigh more than than 20lbs. The Maytag brochure does state porcelain top and lid on some models, but mot sure if this model came with it.
To the guys defense he does state in the beginning of the video that they just borrowed the washer to demonstrate sales training, so he may only have had a few minutes to brush up on the specs.
And finally, His comment about the size of the lint filter may actually refer to the effective surface area of the filter element, not it's physical size.

I thought the dual belt system was coming back.
210 is the longest arc by a gear driven transmission. I believe the F&P will do a 540 degree arc in the Heavy program.
Everyone else has a 180 degree arc, false. The shortest being 90. Wasn't the Filter-Flo the first automatic machine to introduce a shorter than 180 arc?

That least part with him standing in the machine... THAT is how you sell a washer.
I think SQ could do a commercial where their machine is washing ball bearings or something like that and the voiceover would say, "Can your machine do this?"
It seems a fairly common sales tactic to make the machine do something you wouldn't ordinarily do to impress people, like the cake in the dishwasher trick..

I knew someone that is a shooter----he washes his plastic cased,fired,shotgun shells in his WP washer-BD.Didn't damage the washer or the shells.He washed the cases for reloading with his shotgun shell reloading system.He had the CLEANEST reloads I had seen.and they would function and feed in the gun more easily.He put them in a mesh bag for washing.
