Speed queen scrubbing their reviews

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Scrubbing reviews and not taking customer feedback is a good way to destroy a respected brand.

On the 2018 SQ's can the autofill be disabled for full water loads? Saw mention of autofill feature being something you can turn on or off. And are the 2018 SQ dryers mechanically different in any way. I prefer the old style silver vs the super black that reminds me of Kit or Star Wars. Though I'd take any color if it still worked.

Prices are up a bit reasonable for a year to year or model change if the new model was better. AWNE92SP was selling her for around $949 to $999 new AWNE9RS $1,039.

I posted a reply to SQ's Video and attached a link to the Maytag Commercial.

Here's the reply...

After watching this video I see nothing but poor performance and practically non existent agitation. You could get clothes cleaner with a washboard. I never expected this from Speed Queen. In my own opinion and gut feelings are telling me that the positive reviews are Allied Employees or relatives of Allied Employees. That is the most lame washing I ever have seen in my life. The Commercial Maytag is absolute dream when it comes to buying a new toploader.

We understand your concern, eddiewhaler1. Regarding the wash action of our newest top load washer, we are seeing some confusion about how it works. There’s no doubt that our wash action is radically different from our previous top load model. If one opens the lid on the new machine and expects what’s happening to look as it did before, it will be a surprise. It is different. It is a new design. A game-changing design, and one that came as a result of three years of extensive research and development from a company that cannot and will not cut corners. But our customers don’t buy Speed Queen solely because it’s well tested. They buy because it delivers quality performance as well. They also don’t take “it really is better” as an answer. Numbers have to tell this story; and they do. Speed Queen’s new top load produces 5 percent better wash results than the previous model and it is 19 percent more gentle. These are numbers from standardized Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) tests. So again, while the wash action is not what you are used to seeing, it produces even better results. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach back out. We hope you will give the new Speed Queen top load washer a try. We are confident you will be impressed.

Per Speed Queen reply: "Speed Queen’s new top load produces 5 percent better wash results than the previous model and it is 19 percent more gentle."

I can understand the new models being 19 percent more gentle since items in the tub are just swished back and forth while floating during wash and rinse. But just how could they produce 5 percent better wash results? From what I've seen I'm not buying it.

AHAM tests, indeed!

Alliance Laundry Systems LLC. isn't even a member of the AHAM.

Here is their members list:
http://www.aham.org/AHAM/AuxCurrentMembers

Their test procedures don't seem to be public, either. You have to pay $110 to find out what they are, it sounds as though SQ tested their own washer and deem it better.

The link to the AHAM standards for washers purchase page, just in case anyone has the money to waste.

I made a comment on Youtube and SQ promptly replied with their new boilerplate about the 5% and 19%. They also said they don't expect word of mouth or videos the prove their point. The numbers are proof.

They're right.
I'll wait for Cnet, Reviewed and Consumer Reports to do their AHAM stain and thread tests. See how THOSE numbers actually come out before I pass full judgement.

My new video coming soon

I’m currently doing a better quality ,well lit video putting the new queen against the old. It’s going to be a bloodbath.

My first couple of videos I ever did I was trying to shine the new queen in the best light possible. I’m going to be brutally honest this round with real video evidence to back it up.

Yup, I can verify that review that Lorain Furniture screen-shot was immediately deleted. Because I made that review. And now I am making a video to go along with all the SQ vids on my hubby's and my YouTube channel.

I posted the results of this review on Facebook, and got the standard SQ form letter reply. They said they only delete reviews if they can't match up the reviewer's name with a registered owner.

I will have the video edited and up on our YT channel tonight (Spats Bear,) and Lorain Furniture, feel free to do with it what you wish :-)

Some of us remember this "game" and it's been played long ago -- and arguably somewhat better.

You're playing with fire..........

retired Law Enforcement Officer here, you people are playing with fire and are looking to get sued. Just my opinion based on MY experience.
