So true. I really like my "...older, durable, basic machine that is easy to understand and use."
I remember first calling SQ HQ when considering the washer. I said "...the machine design is rather 90s looking (control panel), will it be updated soon?". The guy (who has worked there over 20 years) chuckled and said "...well, we just updated it last year. We're not much on flashy stuff." Ever since then, I've been good with it.

The square tub machine...
... Is the Unimac UM202. It's used for car washes. It is indeed a twin tub machine actually, a triple tub machine. It has 2 wash compartments and one rinse/extract compartment. I've always loved these machines!

Just saw this vid tonight..........
and was impressed with the level of commitment by Alliance to build a solid machine. No wonder they have the market in coin operated laundry!
