Notification

I got an email that my cap had shipped, but no word on the agitator. I'll update when it arrives.

Now this is interesting...I checked Sears link for the agitator and I checked UPS tracking...it shipped and I will be getting it tomorrow and the cap as well. I saw the tracking for both...so that to me is telling if they send out an email saying that its backordered yet it shipped...I dunno...

NOW HEAR THIS...............yesterdays email said 7 day delay....

UPS just droped off my order 5 minutes ago with everything in the box.....

how do these guys always know when I'm in the shower, no matter what time I select, had to answer the door in a towel, dripping wet, good thing I didn't have to sign for it....lol

I just got my agitator today. It's the small one - solid vane...small enough to be a wringer washer agitator! Don't see this one going into my AWN542, but nice to have for the collection.

Well, lookie there...dispenser fits perfectly from the AWN542...which should mean the caps will fit as well. Nice.

I can't get the agitator out of the AWN542, but I have an extra one back home that I can take a pic of on Friday if no one else has already snapped one by then.

AGITATOR
The Estimated Ship date for this item is 10/12/2010.

Ummm. Isn't today the 12th?

Malcolm

Yep, I got a "your item has shipped" e-mail 2 hours after unboxing the agitator. It shipped 4 days ago, received it today. The caps shipped yesterday...should get them on Thurs.

Gotta love me some Sears!

let the hot water come half way up the agitator and pull the agitator to the front to get the air bubble out. That way the hot water gets into the fingers...wait 10 mins and then grab the agitator at the base and move your fingers under the base...it should pop up. Mine was tight until I did that and it came right off. I should be getting mine today as well...

Splish Splash!

Certainly seems to be a more agressive agitator...but boy it's small...check out the hole alignment of the basket for a reference. The water level was 1/2 way between small and medium.

And the video...

I've done a few loads now (towels washing as we speak). It's amazing how fast one can throw a load of laundy together during play time. :)

Anyway, this is the little agitator that could. It has a tremendous amount of "undertoe", and keeps the clothes down and low near the fins. Very nice turnover on these towels at the moment.

Would make the perfect agitator for really grimy clothes. I think it's a bit too aggressive for my needs. It "rocks" the water back and forth--even with clothes. Something the flex vane only does when the load is empty.

On XL setting, the water comes to the edge of the bottom of the fabric softener dispenser. I have my water level set 1/2 way between the top of the straight holes and the staggered holes in the basket.

Special Not-So Delivery

I got home from work and there was a box on the front porch. I opened it up and to my surprise there is what appears to be parts of a pressure washer in a bag marked agitator cap on it.

WTF is going on at Sears that a handle from a alleged pressure washer can be shipped as an agitator cap. I guess I'll be taking this to a Sears store nearby and fighting to get my money back.

Ask me why I'll never shop at Sears again?

Malcolm
