Help Support :

Oh my! Christine is definitely my favorite!!!!

That Plymouth was drop dead gorgeous. There is a similar Belvedere or Fury (not sure which) for sale in town here. Its all white. Only got a quick look when driving by. Such an incredible car. The FINS!!! HUGE!

Some of my other favorites.

Who can't love the Dodge Monaco from Blues Brothers! Just kidding, but a great movie

Also, The Aston Martin Lineup in the James Bond films. I adore the cars. Simply stunning.
And because I adore Daniel Craig... But thats another story....

The new Skyfall 007 movie will feature a DB5

As for movies...

I would agree that there have been some fabulous cars in the James Bond movies... but the best has to go to Goldfinger... which I believe is where they debuted his Aston Martin... and includes the Continental and Ranchero described earlier in this thread, but also a great chase scene with the Aston Martin, a (then new) Mustang, and several Mercedes pontons (I recall they were 220S). Bond films often had great cars, but somehow had taken on an AMC sponsorship in the mid 70s, and I think it was The Man With the Golden Gun that includes a chase scene starting at an AMC dealer (in Thailand?) and ends with the villain converting his AMC Matador coupe to fly...

For a couple totally different chase scenes/cars, of course there is Bullitt, with the Charger/Mustang chase 'won' by Steve McQueen in the Mustang... or It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World, a great movie filled with 1962 (and other year) Chrysler products including the Imperial convertible, a Belvedere wagon, a Polara convertible, several stripper Plymouth and Dodge police cars, and more...

And being a Mopar guy, who couldn't appreciate the little car that could, Dennis Weaver in his Plymouth Valiant, outmaneuvering the trucker in Steven Speilberg's first movie, Duel.

I didn't know some of Christine was filmed in Maine. I know a good majority of it was filmed in the Los Angeles area. The gas station scene was around Magic Mountain and the high school was in Agoura Hills. I drove around Agoura Hills once and found the school. John Carpenter didn't mention any filming in Maine during the commentary on the movie or on any interviews.

The Wagon Queen Family Truckster station wagon (really a Ford LTD) on VACATION!

The Raw Umber Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera ("Ciera", actaully) on FARGO!

Even the Plymouth Satellite station wagon on THE BRADY BUNCH--and father Mike Brady going from a Plymouth Barracuda convertible to a Chevy Caprice Classic convertible!

I could go on & on...!

Mondo Trasho . ..

An historically important film from '69 as it was John Waters' first feature length movie, all his previous films (including The Diane Linkletter Story and Eat Your Makeup) had been shorts. In Mondo Trasho Divine is driving around Baltimore in a '59 Cadillac when she is distracted by a hot looking hitchhiker and accidently runs down Mary Vivian Pearce.

Damnation Alley Landmaster (1977)

I saw this beast in 1983 while on vacation in LA. It was parked behind a gas station on the frontage road of the freeway in Cahuenga Pass.

North By Northwest...

...certainly one of my very favorite films and one of Hitchcock's best. The 1958 Lincoln Continental Mark III convertible driven by Eva Marie Saint was as beautiful as the driver.
