This past weekend Ben and I had the pleasure of visiting Robert, Mr. Unimatic himself! To add to the fun, we met club member Geoff Delp and had a grand old time. I knew we had come to the right place when the host broke out the Blue Heaven glasses and fired up the '56 Liberator. Just about everything left a lasting impression- the intimidating RCA Whirlpool combo machine, witnessing Philco's High-Frequency agitation, the kitchen that proves multiple colors can work harmoniously together, or the restored Zenith Porthole! Enough yaking, the pictures start at the link below! -Cory

jus' crazy 'bout the machines

Cory thanks. What a treat. What's up with that wild frigidaire missing the control panel yet still hurling water everywhere-oh those rubber fins. And that waterfall Speed Queen, I've never seen that one before. What a treasure.

Hey Guys! I've included my addition to the fun ~ a .mov with some washing action! I had to cut this down quite a bit, as we had fun with almost all of Robert's wonderful machines. Hopefully I'll find some time go include a few more movies of this past weekend. I completely agree with Cory - everything I saw and witnessed on Saturday left a lasting impression. Thanks again Robert!!

Ben

LOVED the pics and vids!

Looks like you guys really had fun with all the machines. Robert truly is an inspiration, I hope to make the pilgrimage to the AWO Mecca in Minnesota one day.

"Suds-cake....right here" Hope the quote is right.

I'm so glad I tuned in tonight, especially watching the suds-caking unimatic turn into a cotton-candy machine. Who needs hallucinogens? Thank you so much, and Robert too, for opening the door to the Holy of Holies.

MIkey

PS: Almost as good as Brokeback Mountain

Thanks for sharing ....

It's always a special treat to see those awesome machines in action. I enjoyed the pics too. (My parents used to have a coffee pot like that! It made great coffee as I recall.)

It looks like a great time was had by all.

Looks like a great time was had by all! If I ever get to Minneapolis,Roberts home will be on the agenda!

Wow Ben, I can't believe how fast you did that great video, it would have taken me months to get it all together!

I'm so glad you guys and Geoff could come this weekend, I had a great time.

Hi Cory and Ben, I am so glad that you guys got to see Robert's fantastic collection. Greg, Skyler, and I were there the week before Christmas and we had such a great time. Does't Gladys have the cutest face!! Thank you both for sharing the neat pictures. Terry

Great video!! Thanks so much for posting it. Of all the fantastic Frigidaire Unimatic designs, the '58 is my favorite. That huge cotton-candy suds mound was completely AWESOME. An early Kenmore would have had suds-lock for months over that!
