Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have to hand a small prize to Speed Queen. I do not use the extra rinse button on my machine. I let it go through the regular two rinse program and then the high speed final spin which extracts a LOT more water than the pulse spins. Then I reset the program knob for Rinse and Spin. It does a great job in that last rinse. After the fill is complete, I turn the selector to OFF and then back to Rinse & Spin to give a longer tumbling time in the last rinse. Since I am down there for that, I practice a bit of "force feeding" with a hose inserted into the dispenser to bring the water a couple of inches up on the glass but, while there are bubbles, the water is not sudsy in the third rinse. It was not as free of suds if I used the Extra Rinse with the less effective pulse spins. It probably helps that I use half Persil and half STPP so there is less sudsing even in the wash. It's good to have at least one "beast" that is built on a commercial platform that can handle pretty much anything without stopping repeatedly to redistribute the load.

You read that right

the only reason I know is a forum member (Malcolm I think) had a SQ FL washer and made videos of it and posted them here a few years ago, and they do pulse spins between the wash and rinses, not full ON spins...until the end of course.

Pulse Spins

I found that the PULSE spins on the SQ machine was more than effective in extracting sudsy water while minimizing suds locking the machine.
