Vintage Emporium Opening Night 31st Oct 2015

Another classic graced us brought by Darren and Austin, The uber rare English Electric 4150 twintub, just look at those ribbed steel lids, it uses a brush filter in the corner of the tub and this first series had the four vane black agitator, later one was a Red Spiralator which can be seen on top nearby. Another great renovation taken down to the metal and all parts original, this used the infamousand problematic "Powder Clutch" on the direct drive spin can and only lasted one series.
Thanks Darren again for bringing suh a fine specimen for use to view and use, which is the "Spirit of the Club".

A big thank you to Mark who jetsetted in from Sitges, Barcelona to join us, Mark had seen the build photos a while ago and mentioned "Would Love To Attend One of These Meets" Al responded and gave him the details and next thing flight is booked....Mark brought Tide detergents for us to try, and we did.

Another rare gem turned up as well, the ADA wringer washing machine which was produced up the road in Halifax, then became the Philips washing machine factory, now White Knight & Crosslee dryer factory...it uses a belt drive rather like the Norfrost twinny and we managed to get it working for a paint restore and will do a seperate thread later!!

Washer Collectors

Morning Launderess, thanks it was great time gone too quickly as usual, those drains certainly took a hammering, and a variety of aromas from all the "World of Detergents" you would have been proud, along with the Vac room and vac demos the Miele / Neff kitchen took a bit hit!!

Hi Eddie, many thanks and yes worth all the hard work when we all get together, you will have to hitch up with John Jetcone who is threatening another visit soon.

Awesome Mike and Gang!

Thanks for sharing!

What a fantastic dream laundry set up!!!

Mike, congratulations!!!  What a labor of love with diligent work!!   Everything looks wonderful!  Ahh what a pity I wasn't there to get all those dishes through the dishwasher(s).

A big thanks to Al and Mike for putting together an excellent entertaining event!

Darren's beautiful Liberator Twin. So reminiscent of the 1420 Supermatic I grew up with, it even managed to produce the same warm oily/electrical smell I remember.
I've just noticed on the resto pictures that it even has what looks like a bracket to mount the filterflow outlet on the Hotpoint machines.
