Your ad would be a better ad than most of GE's ads.

The only one that came close (and not very) was the GE Spectra range ad of a few years ago, the woman who liked to "cook big."

I can't remember any Hotpoint TV since Ozzie and Harriet, and only a little Hotpoint print.

Makes me wonder. Either Hotpoint sells itself, or GE is not deeply committed.

I know what you mean. At www.geappliances.com, the "GE Brands" link gives you a choice of GE Monogram, GE Profile and GE but no mention of Hotpoint unless you really, really search for it.

For all the things GE might do poorly, they still make a helluva reliable gas range, according to Consumer Reports and its readers (unless, of course, one believes that Consumer Reports is just a bunch of commie-libs who don't understand that, like a fine automobile, an expensive range needs more tender loving care than a cheap piece-o-crap Hotpoint that never breaks down and leaves your dinner uncooked. It doesn't mean it's unreliable. It's just. . .aw, you wouldn't understand.)

I can't see it but I guess Take 5 works. I was thinking something a little less festive but more heartwarming like a slow violin/piano duet.

No no no... the man's at the table with his children and the wife is serving up the piping hot dinner.
