This Waring Nova I in a ...love..ly(?) shade of avocado used to belong to my grandmother. Here it is doing what it does best (and still very well after all these years!)

I have your electric knife in two tone green, love your blender, is that pretty glass vintage? Smoothie looks tasty, too.

Still in good shape, it was new at least as far back as 1978 for sure and probably a couple of years before that as well. The Nova design followed the Futura design in the 70's. After the Nova design they began cranking out some truly dime store crapola for home use. Personally I like the Warings better than Osters except I wished they had settled on a standard blade assembly/jar earlier on.

The glass is most definitely vintage, how old I have no idea; it belonged to the other grandmother! I have a large set of them. I was feeling lazy that night with the smoothy, it's just the V8 stuff and some ice cubes. Tasted great. My mom has a nice Oster that's all metal. When I get a chance I'll photograph it too... speaking of my mom's appliances, here's something humorous: Here's the only photo I have of her Dormyer Power Chef mixer (very old but still perfectly servicable), taken with my Polaroid Automatic 100, after I made a bit of a mess while whipping cream -notice it has traced a circular pattern around the mixer and onto the floor. Her kitchen doesn't look like this anymore, it's all different.

Nice mixer. I found a chrome Dormeyer stand mixer that was on the pricey side, I did pick up a nice chrome little Dormeyer hand mixer for less than $10.00. I have some nice monogramed glassware that someone gave my father once. Has a drink pitcher with it too.
