Dear Sirs:
My name is Ross Roberts. I was raised on Tide back in the 1950’s.
My mother used Tide for everything: a little tide in a bucket of water to
mop the kitchen floor, a little tide in the sink to do the dishes, even in the
bathtub for a bubble bath., and of course for all the laundry.
In addition to a modern Maytag, I have a collection of vintage washers
that work and I use them each week. I am a member of
http://www.automaticwasher.org which is a club of other people who collect
vintage washers.
For a number of years, I have served on the Altar Guild in
Episcopal parishes where I have lived: All Saints Episcopal Church,
Bayside, NY, St. Margaret of Scotland Epsicopal Church, Palm Desert, Ca. and
currently at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church here in
Tucson, Az. My job on the Altar Guild is washing and ironing
Communion Linens and vestments worn by clergy and acolytes.
Many of these white linens are old, yellowed, and stained. Communion
Linens are full of stains from Communion wine. Although I
cannot make old linens look 100% new, thanks to Tide, they certainly
look much better. Each parish has recognized my work and I attribute
it all to Tide. I prefer the traditional Tide powder but in some of my
vintage machines which are front loaders, I use Tide HE and achieve
the same great results. I am always singing praises to Tide’s ability
in whatever parish I serve in.
I hope that Tide will continue making the same great products
that do the same great job.
Yours truly,
Ross Roberts
