Speed Queen had the longest agitation wash phase. The shortest was Whirlpool.

I would say is a tie with SQ and Maytag at 10 minutes.......
but willing to bet it was GE FilterFlo's with 12 minutes......
a little hard to say, most coin-op machines ran a shorter cycle than your home version.....

The early ST commercial SQ's started agitation and continued to fill for one or two timer increments, also the long overflow prerinse before the first spin. The rinse fill started as soon as the spin solenoid kicked out, IIRC by the time the coast was over, it was more than 1/2 full, the fill continued throughout the overflow rinse. There was no time without some kind of action. alr
Thats why I always thought how Speed Queen got its name....because it was so fast, and jumped from one action to the next, non-stop.....and probably a shorter whole cycle time compared to most....
I thought something was odd at watching this video, that my home machine did not run the overflow for a extra minute when it first started washing, and all the way thru the rinse portion.....but I do have only a 1 minute overflo at the end of wash, a 2 minute spin, and then one minute to coast down before the rinse water started, and only a rinse overflo for the first and last minute of rinse before the final spin, there of course was 3 minutes of rinsing in-between without the overflo...my final spin is probably longer as well....
I would check my home machine for the actual wash time, but the coin-op machine is probably shorter....interesting

we had a home washer when I was growing up, no dryer, so during the winter time we headed out to the laundromat to dry them, and of course I had to take at least one load to run thru the washers.....
I remember the first ones I saw had toggleswitches for selections, some had a metal agitator, others were gray plastic......eventually they were changed out for machines with a newer styling and teardrop style selectors and white agitators.......I always liked the lights for wash, rinse, and spin....
it killed me when they changed to perforated tubs.......oh the agony!....I would have killed at the time to have even a coin op machine at home, as a toy to play with....

The Speed Queens we used to have here at the apartments a few years back had I believe 12 minute wash time on the Normal Cycle. Now of course we have Whirlpool direct drives with 9 minutes. Why couldn't they make it at least an even 10? And some GE Filter Flo's I used a while back were 9 or 10 minutes.

A similar machine design wise, its pic #44 in Aberdeen Farm photos. Pic # 44 is a home machine the control panel I remember had this white texture and a single yellow panel light. Of course the control panel was designed to accomodate the coin box. alr
