FIFTY pages of dizzying text on one of the oldest, finest machines in existence. I'm not downloading till tonight, or I'll be reading all day and get nothing done. I LOVE this washing machine, and have wanted to read about it for YEARS. Thank you.

It's like reading a history book.....only about washing rather than conquest. And the machine is so simple: it's like how can it do all that stuff when there's hardly anything down there. And then that hot fit guy in the shower, looks like badgerdx's avatar, so funny! Only part way thru..... I must stop now.

Unimatic Confusion

Hey guys, my Unimatic has a double-rinse instead of an overflow rinse, not sure if mine has the WO-65 2 on it or not. Would this manual still apply for me for pretty much just about everything except that part of the cycle?

Hey Brian, yes totally. The WO-65 manual is pretty close to the WO-65-2 except for the pictures of the dial and the cycle description.

I've been waiting for the right manual/brochure to trip the "purchase trigger" and today's Frigidaire manual took the checkered flag! AWESOME.

So...I purchased the Bendix Double-Load Commercial Washer brochure. Now, I'm going back for the Hoover Twin-Tub brochure, and I'm not even "into" them.

Eugene ~ We'll have to find--or start--a 12 step program. By the way, my favorite so far is the 90 page 1-18 tome. Robert said he'd make past DDD's available for the asking. It's heaven.

 

Bob ~ Silly Goose, they don't come in color. But I'm sure masonry matrices with painting somewhere and you can pastel your own.

Usually when you click on someone's pick, you get the big one; with yours, it's still the little one. Could you fix that, so we can see the big one? Thanks

 

<p>Robert ~ At first I though you were referring to the kick you always get out of the manuals telling us to "load the washer." And I thought haven't you ever seen the caricature of the uber-straight dude, staring at a pile of laundry, then at the washer, looking totally dumb-founded, "What do I do?" LOL But you are talking about the last part of loading, about not washing diapers and rags "unhemmed cottons" with your shirts and sheets. Pretty funny. That dude would really be confused. Mike, at first I was confused then I realized what you meant lol. I actually mean page 13 of the actual manual itself (not the pdf page #), the part about how to use detergent and what to look for in the washing action!

Now for your suds-lock query: it is less about bubbles and more about cream and foam. The Unimatics can whip up suds into a real frenzy. Then, despite the mammoth cabinet on the early Unimatics, the spinning still manages to whip the suds up from great depths causing the suds to actually rise all the up the cabinet and enter the tub. Remember, there is no outer tub in these; hence the power of Unis to whip cream with so little water in such vast space.

Your question leads me right into what I had planned for Saturday Morning's High Jinx:

Tide has asked me to run an ad against Jetcone's Rosalie's Low--that would be NO--sudsing detergent.

Here's what I have so far:

HI Joe! They stopped making it,

an alluringly fragrant Tide with Lilac. A real sudser, I was so smitten with it. This was a couple years ago and I can't remember how much, maybe two doses. I was trying to trip the reset switch, and it worked. Haven't done it since, but it was a lot of fun.
