Hi everyone,

I am about to experiment with a bottle of Total Care TIDE. I can't stand the scent (Renewing Rain), but want to know in general if it stands up to its claims about prevention of fading, pilling, shrinkage, change of shape, etc.

Often I use Cheer for darks in my colored laundry, especially in my polos this time of year through summer. I got rid of a huge pile of old stuff last fall and have replaced some polo shirts with new so now I want a good detergent that I can count on to mostly prevent fading. Charlotte's tap water is often so rich with Chlorine that you can smell it when the washer is filling, etc. P&G states that this will contribute to or cause fading....

I'm wondering if anyone has had any results with this detergent, good or bad? If this turns out to be a good product, I am hoping I can find the Cool Cotton scent.

I have been using it and . . .I don't use a lot of liquids, but for one or two loads a week it's ok.

I like the scent, Renewing Rain, it was light and not overpowering. barely noticable after the dryer.

I use it mostly on perm press and darks with good results.  I didn't have issues with suds, but I have moderate to very hard water.  I use for a full load up to 2 on the cap.  I was going to try on towels to see how it does with different fabrics.

I did notice that Wal-Mart had Total Care on the closeout/discount shelf last Saturday.  I'm wondering if it is being discontinued, or if Wal-Mart is just making room for some new fad.
