Hi Ben, I see from the dates that you were watching the store, posting a major work, while Robert and Greg were away. Did no computing in Canton so was out of the Aworg loop. Are you always going to be this good or is it just a 10 year phase;'D.

So glad you told me about Jimmy's Philco and Kelvi. A Philco is a life-changing event.

Here's what sad. My sister Peggy had a Tag without the highest fill option, and we didn't know then about holding the button in to get more water. With a family of 5, her machine couldn't keep up, so she bought the huge Kitchen Aid. Both Peg and my mom both have 15 year-old KA's. Only from Aworg have I learned how amazing the Maytag Automatics are. Someday, I hope to get one, just to appreciate how well-made and trouble-free they truly are.

What I love

Even though there is three prong plug on the washer, they had a separate ground wire. My 2001 Maytag has a ground wire provision too.

Anywho - thanks again for the great comments guys! One of these upcoming winter days - the basement will look good again and I'll hopefully have all the Maytags in a row, ready for viewing, or washing! The ultimate goal is to have everything from 1949 through 1969 (AMP/101/140/160/700/806/906) hooked up and ready to roll.

Greg - maybe if I liked Frigidaire's as much as I do Maytag's I'd have a bunch of Unimatics in the basement ;-)

Ben, I'm just speechless!! I can't get over this set. And I loved the video. I am hoping friends here remember the avocado A606 or A608 his parents have when his parents are no longer in the house--dad is in very bad health--the dryer is a 308 or 408. It's in pristine shape and his mom preferred hanging out the wash so dryer wasn't used as much.
