Urgent Help Needed Whirlpool VMW

Hi friends. I know the balance ring on Whirlpool VMW washing machines with porcelain tubs isn't sold as a separate part and is designed to be replaced as a whole. However, due to one of those strange circumstances that life throws at me, I need to know how to remove one of these rings. Does anyone have any ideas on how to try it without breaking it?
