Were Gaffers and Sattler dishwasher any good?
I'm almost certain that Gaffers & Sattler dishwashers were a D&M product, like Kenmore.
Gaffers & Sattler in "Shampoo"
Notice the Gaffers and Sattler twin wall ovens in the movie "Shampoo" released in 1975, takes place in 1968. (In the movie) the house is owned my Lester (Jack Warden) and Felicia (Lee Grant) Karpf. Their daughter Lorna (Carrie Fisher) also lives in the house and suspects "Beverly Hills Hairdresser" George Roundy (Warren Beatty) is sleeping with her mother. He evades her questions by responding that she looks a lot like her mother. She loudly responds "I'm nothing like my mother", which is the setup to the joke when she asks George "Do you want to f&#k?" The irony is that she is in fact just like her mother, who in a later scene pulls down her panties (Lee Grant explains in an interview that "the character Felicia is in heat."

That's correct, G&S dishwashers were D&M.

Probably had green coated racks with either a gray or white door seal.
No roto rack on the second level. A legit pull-out rack with direct plumbed wash arm beneath, most likely.
