Vintage Downy April Fresh vs. Suvaitel Original Field Flowers

OK, SO SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENED IN MY HOUSE THIS WEEKEND..............My mom gave me a bottle of Suavitel original formula "field flowers" that she bought on sale at her favorite store..ShopRite. I washed my dress shirts, and hung them up to dry, and every time I walked into the bathroom, I had a flashback to my aunt's house when I was a kid. She would wash her laundry in the Whirlpool coin-ops in the basement, then hang the clothes up to dry in the house, of course using half a bottle of Downy in the process. It was then that I realized that this formula of Suavitel, NOT the ultra formulation, smelled exactly like the original Downy April Fresh that we used as a kid growing up well into the nineties. GIVE IT A TRY....I SWEAR IT SMELLS JUST LIKE VINTAGE DOWNY......LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, AND YOU COULD WIN A YEARS SUPPLY OF SUAVITEL!!!!!!!.................just kidding of course, but PLEASE am I crazy?? I don't think I am.

Very close to original Downy April Fresh

I have a half full bottle of Downy from the seventies and it does smell a lot like vintage Downy. The Suavitel is a little stronger scent. My favorite is Suavitel Morning Sun in the yellow bottle. This is a lighter scent the resembles Downy Sunrinse from the late eighties. Too me all of the current Downy products have that sickening fruity vanilla scent with the exception of Mt.Spring which is just not my favorite scent. Proctor and Gamble should make a liquid original bounce outdoor fresh scent. Currently Suavitel is my favorites.

Scents

I found a product on line that is used to scent oils, soaps, and candles. There is one that is supposed to smell like April Fresh Downy. Has anyone ever tried this stuff? I just wonder if it is the current Downy scent or the original? I am suspecting the current scent.

I also did a google search for Downy scent and found a post where someone mixed the current April fresh scent with the Free and clear Downy (50/50 ratio). She said it smelled just like the original. I don't know. I guess it is worth a try.
