Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Hey Malcolm!

Is there any chance you are going to scoop up that Hotpoint set, even if it's to hold them for someone else?

Looks like Columbus is less than 3 hours from you.

JeeZuz! Guess that gospel mission's hoping for some unsuspecting rich person without a clue to come along. Electric cooktop? No thanks, gas all the way, baby - no matter how retro-stylee it may be. I hate my parents' late-seventies electric range with a passion.

As Chandler on Friends might say: Could there BE anymore classics?

Wow, a lot of great ones here. I'd say the three that stand out the most are the 1973 Model 60/600 pair. My aunt had that exact washer, and while I saw quite a few Kenmores during my childhood, this was one of three that influenced my love of them.

The second one which is a very neat model, since it combines accents of the past with what was then its present is the 1972 Model 200 in Reply # 10. Never have I seen one of these in person, but I wish I had. It has the combination of the 1972 notched handle, and early 1970s style knobs, along with a console very reminiscent of the 1962 Model 600. I also like the 1972 model dryer in that reply with the distinct 1965 BOL console.

Love the tags displayed, especially the A606 in Reply # 8. A neighbor of mine had this, and I had a lot of fun watching that washer run.

Good stuff
