I'm glad you saw those - I was going to suggest you consider them since you have an interest in this style Kenmore. If you want them, perhaps you could contact the seller and ask if they're able to hold them if you pre-pay a deposit, etc?
Ralph - believe it or not this set is actually quite MOL. Kenmore considered them 60-series machines, these being 1973 models. The dryer looks like it is in great shape -- the top still shines and has a reflection of the console on it. These get a lot of abuse as they are not porcelain tops. The washer has two speeds, four cycles including Pre-wash, five temps, porcelain top and lid, self cleaning filter, etc. Nothing to object to on this washer, but no extra frills either. This is about the nicest plastic control panel model Sears had, though the 1975 version had a roto-swirl, making it just one notch higher on the food chain. This model was identical looking but had horizontal woodgrain vs. the '73's vertical woodgrain.
There were some BOL models made with this panel however, including a couple with no temperature adjustments, as they were set in the timer.
Funny that someone posted one of these dryers on Charlotte's Craigslist just today.
