It a 1965 Kenmore 800 model. It is interesting though how this has the small hamper door, yet the Kenmore dryer in Reply # 33 which is also a 1965 model, but a 70 series, has the full width door. Feature wise this is a little breach in the hierarchy of Kenmore models, as the 800 was more top of the line. For the 1960s this was extremely rare.

Great thread amongst a series of great threads posting all of these washer ads. It is always reassuring to see vintage washers and dryers are still out there.

Have a good one,
James

Kenmore 800 dryer

James, and everyone else, the reason why I know this is an 800 because I had a coworker whose husband and her got transferred to Dallas from Houston in 1986.  I visited them in late 1980s and early 1990s.  First time I walked into their laundry room (to entery the hosue) I about keeled over.  Theyh had the matching set since 1965 and the dryer had this same plug-door door, not the full-width door.  I did a college paper on Sears Marketing of appliances and got an A+.  This was the entry-level 800 dryer.

Thast's much older than 1964 for that KA.  It's more like a KD11 instead of a KDC14.  The start switch is on the right hand side instead of the little flip switch located at the base of the handle. rotating mechanism.

Kitchen aid KD11?

Many times, people don't know what they own, do they?

Looked old to me and I'm new here, so that appliance is something I've never seen before.

I like the way the ad says "hardly used."

With Snorges, they're all hardly used before they give you a reason to replace them.
