Re: Reply#84

I didn’t realize that Bosco had been around so long. My Mom always used Bosco for our chocolate milk and hot chocolate, which we had as kids most mornings for breakfast in our Jiminey Cricket cups, blue for Joe and me and pink for our sister Mary.

And along with that hot chocolate my Mom’s excellent cinnamon toast that she made in the broiler on white bread smeared with a paste of soft butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, so it was soft on the bottom and wonderfully sweet, toasted and crunchy, em, so good!

Thanks for the wonderful memory Louie.

Somewhere heard that Bosco is still made.Would like to find some-used it when I was a kid.Remember dropping the bottle of Bosco-yes I got in trouble-the jar stayed intact for a few moments than collapsed and oozed on the floor.Besides in milk-NOT floors Bosco was good on ice cream!Hersheys and Quick is easier to find.Still use Quick powder.Good in VM drinks!

Bosco is in plastic bottles now. Still available in NYC. You can also still find u-bet. But I think u-bet is more of a local product.

Bosco and ice cream! YES! Loved pouring it on vanilla ice cream, stirring until it became a shake.
