Waffles...

Talk about timing... Today my semi-long sought after GE waffle iron arrived.  Got the GE Launderess suggested in my earlier thread on waffle irons.  Have not used it yet, but looks mint and it came with the book.  Waited for the right price, got it for $19 plus shipping so ~$33, not bad.

 

Anyway what do I see today --<span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Greatest Foods That Can Be Made In A Waffle Iron!</span>

 

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">What caught my attention was this picture, and it looks tempting.  Cheesy left over mashed potatoes.  There are about 2 dozen recipes total, some look interesting, some look terrible, but it's interesting what you can do in a waffle iron.</span>

Who'd a thunk?

I've never considered any of those foods for my waffle iron. On a side note, during our trip to NOLA I found a waffle iron in the shape of a Fleur de Lis

Make waffles from Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix . . .

 

 

 

. . . then smother 'em in chili and shower 'em with shredded cheddar and chopped onions.
