Is anyone awake to see these - posted 2 days ago -better not think about it too long!

No way can this be real :

Ad says: " Older washer and electric dryer. Had hooked up in the basement as a back up set to the set in the laundry room but haven't used them in years. I washed and dried a load of towels in them today to make sure they still both worked and they did. Have leaked some oil from the dryer over the years but sounded and worked fine when I used it today. $50 for the pair."

Sorry, Louis ... I don't know the model, only that it's a top of the line....and good thing I recognized it as a Maytag, because as you can see....the seller didn't even mention the names. Anyways, your wish is my command...done!

thud indeed! One of my two dream pairs. I've got a cde906 dryer already but have NEVER been able to find the washer. Heck, I haven't been able to find ANY 906 washer in ANY color.

How the heck would I get my hands on them and over here??

Think I gotta make the rounds to my used appliance haunts (I did used to do that, long ago!) & see if I can shock the hell outta people getting that washer!

906 Pair

Someone got a great pair and I was always a big fan of shaded copper-tone on Whirlpool and Sears appliances, [ it was also not too bad on GE appliances ] but you can see from the posting picture how badly MT did the shading, it looks like a kid did it and to make it worse MT had too much color difference between the base color and the shading color.

This is still an incredible find, it is amazing what keeps popping up.

fast - imagine the things that come and go on CL so quickly, before they're discovered....never mind, that's a bad way to start a Monday. There are rarer appliances, especially the Frigidaire washers and dryers in turquoise, etc. from the early 60's.
