How do you wash? What temps and detergents?

As I said above, mostly at 40°C, sometimes hotter (usually not more than 60°C), with powder detergent, and very infrequently use liquid when washing wool jumpers etc. In this machine I've mostly used Surf bio powder (Unilever's budget offering) which has oxygen bleach (apparently perborate at that time), but without the TAED, very occasionally Daz (no oxygen bleach, but did prefer the milder smell), depending on what was on offer - discounts stores regularly have one or both on offer if you buy 2 or 3 extra large boxes.

At the time I took it apart, I was using the recommended dosage for hard water, heavy soil, and a 6 - 8 kg capacity machine. Probably at least 180ml, likely a bit more. These days I usually use a bit less for moderate soil, as I was being heavy handed. I used to overdo the fabric conditioner by quite a bit too!

I also descale the thing once a year, 90°C cotton cycle and a large scoop of anhydrous citric acid, although I only started about 3 years in when the second element failed (never needed to with previous machines).

Well, your machine has now inspired me even more to wash in warm water while giving me comfort that I am doing the right thing. This is a huge advancement for me in that now I can save costs while getting the same results as before.

Looked it up and found it at Walmart online only. I may give it a try
Personally I’d be hesitant to put fabric with blood stains in warm water, but maybe it’s o.k with this Tide Pro detergent?
I’ve always pre treated blood stains and have removed them before contact with warm/hot water to avoid setting in.
If there is a lot of blood, I’ve pre washed with cold water with a cup of ammonia (depending on fabric) dumped out, checked before moving on to normal washing with warm or hot.
I’ve been liking the Tide Clean & Gentle powder.

I would try blood stains cold, cool and warm and see how they compare to each other. I do warm soaks as that is just what I am have customarily done. You might get better results otherwise. As for all other washing I find it best done in warm water. Long wash times and/or soaks are your friend when it comes to stain removal and deep cleaning with Tide Pro.

I wish more people would buy this detergent. Tide Pro actually fulfills its promise of 105*F washing while similar results are obtained through energy efficiency and not turning the machine into gunk.

I’ve read here from others that the scent is too strong?
What your take on that ?

I do not find the scent strong. It is more of a mild chemical smell than the typical artificial scent of flowers, rain, or "clean breeze". Tide Pro also rinses better, so any chemical smells left at the end of the cycle are either barely noticeable or none existent. And by chemical I it is more of a clean scent rather than that of ammonia, bleach, or something acrid.
