Well for me
its becoming less and less about the machines than the people.
We have met some great people and made some great friends whom we regard rather highly.
never before have I had such friends whom I can trust not only to have great times with but to also be able to offer and recieve advice on many aspects.
I dont have the room to have a kitchen full of machines but then it really is hard work on the occasions I have done. You dont need many and to be honest even if there was only 1 as long as the party gets going who cares????
Often im just happy to sit with a pot of tea, cakes and the great literature many of us have collected to have a relaxing afternoon letting the world pass by. We have even gone out to local attractions or shops for a look to see if we can find anything new.
A good mix of other things like general chit chat and indepth conversations, food mixers, vacs, small repairs to other things, go down just as well and also old photos let us spend time to relax and have a great time.
Lots comes down to good food. No not anything from Harrods but the joys of being together around a table to share food and swap stories. The odd bottle of wine and the daft things you do after consming way too much makes for great memories for years to come.
I also like to make the effort and pamper the guests as best I can, for me its the preparations before hand that I really enjoy like choosing decorations or making sure the bedding is always fresh and the house is really clean.
Not that I may portray an image as being a cut above the rest its just down to a little showbiz or drama for impact.
Generally what todays manners forgot when playing host.
You make yours what you want to make it.
