Water Level Increase Idea

I think I have the answer to increasing the water level in my Frigidaire FL....

First, after removing the top and front access panels, removed the pressure switch hose, and taped to the inside of the machine, for later use under warranty maintenance...

then I took about 20 feet of auto-windshield washer hose, a few plastic ports, and a few "T"'s from my aquarium spare parts....and an empty 3 liter bottle from soda, drilled out the cap and glued in a port to attach the hose...keep in mind the hose from the outter tub "must" loop up and over the tub and to the other side to keep water from draining into the bottle, a "T" installed to port of the bottle, and then up to the pressure switch.....I know you guys want detail pics....

but this is the before water level.........

and this is with the new hoses and only "1" 3 liter bottle, with 2 bottles you can't open the door, so far each bottle adds about 2 more inches of water....and there is enough space under the machine to install all of this....so far one is adding enough to allow me to open the door with out a flood...

dunkin or spraying

I have meant to ask Robert total water use of that wonderful whrilpool combo, i would think it uses more water with spraying and collecting in a tank over and over and would be more efficient. My idea is more detergent solution, and rinse water for dilution, without ALL of the water in the drum at once? alr2903

First: Congratulations! I would never be so clever as to think up, then execute, that solution. It's a low-tech/high-tech mash-up.

Thanks.....the first thought was to displace some air using a longer pressure hose....about 100 feet....no change, so I need to displace a lot of air, next was adding a canister can from an auto vaccuum tank, still no luck....then I hit me with a 2 or 3 liter soda bottle....trial and error...3 liter works best...but I'm thinking of putting the 2nd one in too, the only downside is I won't be able to open the door once started and filled....

A second thought to consider.......on normal factory fill, the tub unit lowers inside the cabinet about 1 inch because of the weight of the water....with my adaptation, the chassis lowers 3 inches, so there is really more water added than meets the eye, with the bottom panel removed its easy to measure and see how far the chassis has lowered....If you understand where I'm comming from?
