Speed Queen stack

What sort of washer is that in the speed queen stack? Is it a solid tub machine or a perftub Marathon style?

Holy Cow, TED, how the hell are you?

I didn't realize till I read the post by bygted of Maryland that you are the Ted in the thread. It never clicked! What a great day you guys had. I see that your giant appliance garage is almost ready for prime time. ALL RIGHT!
 
This might be a silly question but how can i learn if i keep quiet. but with that speed queen 84 Ultra Mate stack thing. is it a front loader washer under that or is it a pull out toploader?.

i dont know much about older washer other than ausie ones. but some of these are pretty cool ideas:P

General Electric

I recognize that refrigerator (second from right) as a General Electric. My grandparents had one in their dining room. This was the first refrigerator for them. I believe it was purchased in the early 50s. Up to that time, my grandmother would keep milk, eggs in their earthen basement. The door on the GE had a unique ring behind the handle. Please tell me I right!

SPEED Queen full size stack pair

The SQ stack pair is a top loading tilt out design, its the same washer& dryer they made thought out the 1980s in a very creative and over built package. I just spent a few hours reassembling the dryer section of this machine. SQ washers & dryers of this era are rather plain utilitarian machines but its rare and now makes 10 stack-pairs I have to line up at the museum guess what the other 9 are.
 
Westinghouse range

I really enjoyed seeing the Westinghouse 30" range. I have one like it that was my Mom's. Is this something that you've had in your collection for some time, or did you just get it? It looks to be in great shape.
 
New Westinghouse

The Westinghouse at the top of the thread was something that we scooped that day - so it's a new addition to the collection.
Here is a pic of one of my other westys that I installed in the kitchen a few months ago and put back into daily use. Even though it's probably less efficient, I really like the window look better, so I will probably end up swapping doors or possibly stoves at some point.

And - John - about the refrigerator... the one with the circle ring behind the handle is a Frigidaire. It's the deluxe model in all porcelain exterior. The one on the far left is a GE - also a deluxe model in all porcelain.

Falls Church

Yep - that Stove in my Kitchen did come from Falls Church Craigslist and it was 50$ The house was incredibly clean- the owner had kept everything like new.
It's a 1957 Imperial 30 model.
I originally thought that it was earlier but the brochure that came with it is copyrighted 1957.
 
Frigidaire Custom Imperial French Door Range

Ugh! I had no idea that the '56 Frigidaire range shown was something special. I bought an 1884 Victorian farmhouse that came with the same model (in pank!) stove in it and sold the stove for $100...didn't think anyone would be interested in it. It was a cool stove and I loved how when you opened the oven doors, the racks came out to greet you!
 
Good eyes !

There is a 58 Mercury on one side and a 58 Olds on the other - Both are a little rough at the moment...
 
I love your kitchen! Everything looks perfect. My fav stove is the one with the french doors.
