Richard looks on as Neal And Bob discuss something to do with the fantastic 1950s Ferrograph valve tape recorder sat atop the equally lovely Eastham Burco tumble dryer that Richard had become the owner of

Great stuff Gary!

Looks like a grand time was had by all.

Neil's skills with the spray can are superb, arent they! When I saw the restoration job he performed on John and Mike's 3301L, i was mesmorised ('s' or 'z' ?) by the results and stood staring at it for a fair old while (see piccy below).

His MkII Supertwin, in that lovely shade of blue, is also a lovely machine to have a gander at. A shame Servis moved away form the various colour offering, as the MkII looked great. Can only imagine what a red, yellow and green version would have looked like.

What was up with the A3492, that required an internal operation be performed on it?

Again, a really smart set up of john's, with his middle room.

Have never seen an A3492 (or that style machine) lit up before - imagine that, with matching dryer, on at night! A veritable light show indeed.

Glad you got up there safe, after what must have been a marathon drive.

Paul
p.s Mike - your Senior looks great! Shame there isnt a 1970's style house. With Jacks videoing skills, I am sure that a remake could be produced!

Yay for Wash-in's and Wash-up's. I love how vintage laundry gatherings have become an international rage! Who would have ever though?

Those pictures are just wonderful, thanks for sharing Gary.

Meet

Hi Gary, many thanks for the photos, a grand time was had by all!!!, just wish it was happening again this weekend, although I think we`d all need extra mult-vits..lol, many thanks to John & Ray for hosting us all...

John had spent a couple of days installing the plumbing so all the Hoover washers & dryers are plumbed to go, the ComputaLogic had a rather irritating rattle, couldnt work out wether it was pump or brushes, then confirmed it was the door solenoid, so off it came and was fixed to run!! This machine is sooo smooth and all those lights in the dark make it look like a christmas tree!! and with the top off couldnt resist shining that tub..fast washes , great rinses & smooth spins...fab

Wash- ins

Hey Robert, you & Fred are just gonna have to get here for the next one!!!let you see those euro frontloaders in action!!!

In between fixing washers, having a Hoover Twinny demo given by John..(personally IMHO the Servis doesnt need a demo, it speaks for itself!!!...oh slap!!) putting the Hoover Vision through its paces and enjoying great food with the occasional drink (medicinal purposes of course) taking dryers apart along with tape machines & vacs...a grand time was had by all!!!

Heres the Hoover induction hob being put through its paces steaming the veg for dinner!!

Mikey and 'is Blokes--Yippee

Is that the famous English clotted cream I see on the mouth-watering breakfast buffet??

And cow pie, we make it here but call it meat pie. I love it.

Seeing those washers & dryers stacked like card decks is pretty cool--we don't see much o' that here.

Looks like you guys had a grand old time. Thanks for sharing.

There's a Britcom on PBS right now after the Newhour and they all have W&D's in the kitchen. Do most people in England wash in the kitchen? No I don't feel so odd :-D
