What do you do when you run out of room in the laundryroom?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Walls gone, a clear view of the oil tank... We decided it would be more cost effective to pay someone else $25 to remove it and haul it away rather than try to remove it ourselves and then cover the hospital bills!

Excellent Junior!

I'm guessing you meant the legs of the tank required tons of work?

Now who can we get to volunteer to pipe in some water for you to look and work as well as your drainage system/pipes?

I am always happy for you when a new toy come in!

ah the fill line and air-vent/whistle line.
Thanks got it now!

Who does the drain work? You it's a great job.

I did all the drain work myself! My dad taught me the first time around (that plumbing I ripped out) then I redid it by myself! I just gotta go buy one more support, some of the pipe is resting on a box with some boards holding it up right now. lol

Urban Legend?

The oil delivery man who misreads the address, connects up to the exterior pipe fitting formerly connected to the missing oil tank, and dumps his entire load into the basement while waiting for the level to come up.

So legend or not, make sure the exterior connection is removed, welded shut, or ??? to discourage such things.

IIRC....

The PVC primer/cleaner is purple so when the plumbing inspector visits, he knows that the PVC was properly prepped prior to the gluing.

and boy can you get high on that stuff without proper ventilation!!!!

Looks great! Removing that oil tank really freed up a lot of room! I love the alvacado washer with the woodgrain front! What a classic!

Purple glue colour...

Aha, thanks for the explanation. I have seen that glue in other pictures too and I wondered because it is so clearly visible. Jamie has done a neat job here, but when the glue is less skillfully applied it looks messy.

PVC glue is colourless/invisible here btw.
