brightener for darks?

See this is what I just don't get.  If I want to use Cheer for darks then it is going to have OBA's in them.  Darks aren't supposed to be bright they are supposed to be dark.

Only versions of Cheer powder are OBA free. All the liquids unless clearly stated differently contain some type of bluing agents.

It may be hard to find, but there is some Cheer powder out there.

Why put OBAs into the liquid and not the powder?  Don't the liquids clean as well as the powder?

Never seen Cheer HE powder.  Do they make this?

Do not think there is a Cheer "HE" powder.

Have no idea what P&G is or was thinking.

Shouldn't worry about it too much, just go ahead and order some of the Miele or Persil detergent either for colours or darks. You really only require a small amount, and if you want to be "frugal", can perhaps stretch by using less and adding STPP. However am not sure what effect if any phosphates will have on dark and or deeply coloured clothing.
