I'd almost be tempted because I like front loaders, it would be fun to play with an SQ and it's only about 2 hours away.

HOWEVER, I'm not bringing any more machines home AND I don't need or want another electric dryer.

Robert, it looks like there are a couple of screws at the bottom of the dryer, just above the control panel, so I would assume they can separate.

Called, sounds like door boot. They attempted to install a new one themselves and couldn't get it installed completely and gave up. Now "need gone" is their new mantra.
If it comes apart i can get it, if not it would weigh too much AND require a bigger vehicle for me to handle so i would have to think about it.

I believe that is correct, one of the few stacked (not stackable, as in able to place side by side), that comes apart in 2 sections for transport and installations.....

I think SQ and Maytags are the only ones that separate like that.....

I know most Whirlpools and Frigidaires are all-in-one units, bulky and taller than most fridges....not the easiest to move, even with several guys helping....

but yeah, sounds like they were having issues getting the new boot on, got frustrated, and gave up.......

just search some youtube vids for replacing one of these......follow a few simple rules, and it may be easier than you think.....once you know their little tricks....

this may turn out to be a great deal, at a nice price, plus the parts included, you basically have to clean it up, and do a little work.....and you got a masterpiece there....

kepp us posted.....

Looking at the instruction manual for the new version of this machine it indicates the dryer is removable from the washer.
I see the ad is down so I may be too late on this one.

oh well, better luck next time......but at least you got insight to one of these, you never know what may turn up.....

I got my Neptune stack for free on the side of the road, all the washer needed was bearings....
