You can tell by the tub ring and lack of lights/start button. It's still worth getting. The biggest difference I noticed with the newer ones is they tend to be louder and the cabinet is pretty cheap. Of course the crappiest DD is better that the best VMW.

while a nice machine.....this one offers the HE Spin/Spray rinsing OR a full fill rinse, but I wouldn't count too much on the 'full' part...some have been known to have two pressure switches, one for wash and one for rinse, rinse being half of what the wash portion was...

I have an older ReSouceSaver SpinRinse machine....its actually pretty effective for rinsing...

this one also dubs the temps way down......

personally I would get one with a water level switch, regular temp option, and a speed selector....it gives you a bit more control...

Thanks everyone for the information and comments.  I wasn't aware that there were residential models that only did a half-fill for the rinse.  I had heard of a commercial machine that did that though.  That would be a deal breaker for sure.

I missed the "triple rinse technology" on the control panel until DADoES pointed it out.

It would interesting machine to try out.  I'm off work this week so the timing was right, but I think I'll pass on it and continue the hunt for a "little old widow one load a week" one.  I know they are out there!

I'm going back to a DD after my beloved FL Neptune passes on.
