I've replaced the drain impeller seal and the tub seal and it still leaks from the impeller seal. Anybody have advice on how to get the seal to seat correctly?

Centering tool?

Doesn't the seal kit come with the centering tool so that everything lines up nicely? It doesn't take much to make the seal leak. Also, you may want to disassemble it and check to make sure you did not accidentally crack one of the halves of the seal.
I don't profess just how to install a WP seal but these are some of the basic things to do to install it and to make sure it has not been damaged.

I had to order 2 kits (leaked like crazy the first time and I had to shatter the impeller to remove it). Neither came with a centering tool, and I self-centered it and tested it with a few ounces of water. I think I may have bent the metal cup too much because I was pounding the impeller down to try and get it to seal. I'll update once I check (it's freezing right now, so I have to wait).

Just out of curiosity, are you testing it with water before or after bolting the impellers completely down? I ran into this problem replacing the tub seal in my GU940. I would seat the seal perfectly, had coated it with dish soap and the whole bit, and as soon as I put a cup of water in, it would dribble out straight over the motor. It wasn't until I realized that the impeller bolt pushes the drain impellers seal against the tub seal that I didn't have a drop leak out.

You may have this under wraps already, and if so I'm not sure about why it would be leaking with the new seal, but I figured I'd just throw that out there in case it was any help at all.

Leaking WP DW Pump Assembly

Hi , I assume that your leak is around the shaft seal, If so it is very important when rebuilding pumps like this that the replacement drain impeller slides easily up and down on the motor shaft, this usually means sanding or filing all rust off the shaft. It is also imperative that the new bellow seal is very carefully installed in the lower pump housing WITHOUT damaging it.

Even tough these pumps can usually be successfully rebuilt it is not always possible, generally WP suggested just replacing the complete pump and motor assembly when problems occurred.

I ordered a used pump (I would get a new one but I'm poor people), and it's guaranteed to work. Hopefully I can get this dishwasher to work, as it is really nice.

Wirly-Wash

I absolutely adore my 1981 Power Scour and I think that at this point unless I was forced to, I would never go anything but a WP dishwasher. Mine seems to have a small issue with the plastic drain port on the pump working loose, might need to get some adhesive for that soon.

I installed the "new" pump today, and guess what?
IT LEAKS TOO
From the drain impeller seal, of course.
Seller is getting a piece of my mind.

Well, I couldn't get it to stop leaking at all. If anybody wants to send a replacement pump... do it!
So, I did the only thing a logical person would do: I got another!

Poircelain tub Whirlpools

I had one of those with more buttons. I think it was from the 80's judging by the manual book. It came with the house.
Worked very well until it began to leak from the bottom of the door.
I replaced the door gasket. It still leaked. I got a new one, then my dad told me a faulty spray arm can shoot water into the lower door vent. It didn't look like a stray fork or knife bent the holes on it.
Maybe the inner vent/door seal was bad.
