Duet pressure switch
Love seeing all the positive feedback on DUET! I just bought mine (with all the bells and whistles) a week or so ago, and ran the hell out of it doing a large backlog of laundry-including a queen-size winter duvet/comforter! Regarding the pressure switch, I would be very cautious about messing with it. The DUET control unit uses information not just from the pressure switch (which has 6 levels) but also from a flowmeter which measures the volume of water as it flows into the dispenser and thence to the tub. I know it seems that it doesn't have enough water in it, but my laundry has never come out cleaner. It uses higher water levels in the Delicate/Hand Washable and the Bulky Items cycles. Mine runs up to 800 r.p.m. during the wash spins (if Max. Spin Speed is selected) and to 1250 during final spin. Virtually the only thing I don't like about the machine is the absence of an "Extended Spin" option; if I want extra extraction, I have to select "Drain/Spin" after the end of the regular cycle.
