Whirlpool gas dryer snafu...

The situation is it doesn’t run. No hum, no nuttin’.
Previous owner trying to track down the problem replaced the timer and start switch then gave up.
I was told it “is only a couple of years old”.
I checked the door switch for “click” and continuity, and also the thermistor on the fan assembly. Both were fine. Drum turing well, belt fine, etc.
What next, start button relay? If so, is that in the control panel?

If you could post a pic of the wiring diagram that would be helpful

Could also be the thermal cutoff switch that’s on the blower housing. When that goes, the dryer will not function.

The door switch could also be at fault. If you push it in and it does not click, it should be tested.

Yes as Mike suggested in reply #2 mentioned the thermal Cut-Out on the blower housing may be open.

Looks Like There Is No TF That Cuts Off The Motor On This

Gas model, if the parts listed were replaced properly you are left with a bad main motor or bad wire connection or broken wire somewhere.

Thx for help. I just sent it down the road for $30. I spent over an hour cleaning it up thoroughly, drum out etc. I hope they fix it.
Probably was the motor. I saw signs of water or fluid having been present around the motor area.
I have to clear lots of space, so a dozen major appliances and 100 vacuums need to find new homes ASAP.

There were a series of those machines where WP inadvertently swapped the TCO and high limit, causing it to open when there was no real issue. The fix was to replace both and obviously just swap them into the correct location.
